Glad to hear it.  The 60 Minute is a good "medium" IPA.  If you ever get over to Falls Church, stop at the MadFox and the American Pale Ale

I enjoyed 2 Dogfish 60 Minute IPA at a family BBQ Saturday. My first taste, and very nice.

I really like a number of pale ales/IPAs that come in cans...Dale's is probably my go-to canned beer.  That said, I had District Brau at the Black Cat the other night, and it did not suck.  I think it goes for $5/can, which is pretty good for a night club.

the original 'dale' seems pretty bitter about the beer getting popular

would love to go to Savor. It sells out fast and tickets go for above face on Craigslist. Lots of beer related events around town this week.

Sierra Nevada event at Rustico Ballston tomorrow night (June 1, 6PM).

Savor tickets did seem tricky to get.  We called right away and Sat tickets had been sold out already.  So we're going Friday

New at Harris Teeter: Stella in an easy-storing ten-pack of 14.9oz cans 'Pour Le Fridge'.*

Costs the same as a 12-pack of 12oz bottles of other imports (Stella 12-pack bottles are actually a bit of a rip-off with just a bit over 11oz in each bottle, but at the same price)...but with this 'Pour Le Fridge' pack you actually end up getting 5oz more beer per pack at no extra cost. Bit crisper-tasting than the bottles or draught available hereabouts too - I'm having one now (really goes down nicely after listening to another Nats loss).

*actually Leuven (Louvain), home of Stella, is a majority Dutch-speaking town so it really should be 'Voor de Koelkast'.

The beer guys roaming the upper concourse at Verizon started to carry Stella during the Caps playoffs.  I tipped one of them really well, and from then on he came right to my seat.

Too bad our playoff run was so damned short.

5.0% give or take a couple of tenths of a percent, I'm fairly sure.

How can a good IPA like Loose Cannon be considered piss ?

Who makes Nukey Brown ?

Son, don't you know anything - I only drink water AKA the cleaned piss from the Anacostia.

Don't knock it. The outfall of Blue Plains used to be cleaner than the Potomac back in the 90s except for ammonia, and I'm guessing they have built something for that.  It might have even passed drinking water standards.

Newcastle.  Or whoever makes Newcastle now (Interbev?).  At any rate, this would be the beer stand next to the picnic area out past right field...Max's is by the foot of the escalator that takes one up to the upper RF concourse Red Loft, scoreboard walk, etc).

Went to Mango Mike's for dinner tonight and they don't have any pale ale's or IPA's so I got a Heineken, but they brought me a Bud Lime.  Gagging in horror, I sent it back and received my requested Heine.  But the jerks poured it in the same glass, so I suffered through dinner drinking a Heineken with a hint of lime.  Paired with the worst, over-cooked crab legs I've ever been served, it will be a while before we go back there again.  Great decor though, I want to like the place because it has a fun vibe and I'm a big seafood fan, but you can't overcome bad food.
