Solid outing for detwiler.... he goes 6 with 95 pitches , 3 earned and 9 hits. And a chance to win the game.

a lot like the maya line from the other night, but overall, detwiler has had a better season.  i still say whenever we need to add another starter, it should be him, no questions asked.

unless strasburg is back 8)

You're absolutely right. We are so missing this production:

Hammondsnats:Josh Willingham::Air Zimmerman:Elijah Dukes

That's a terrible comparison on your part.

Even if hammonds was :az: over Willingham, at least he had statistically reason to be. Willingham is a proven Major League OF'er. Dukes never was.

i'm not :az: over willingham, i'm just saying he's a better option than nix/morse.  but hopefully rodriguez can salvage the deal when he comes up.

but i'm moving on from it, because R-Zim is so obsessed with my awesomely amazing posting abilities, it's not even funny anymore!

I wonder if any of the people citing Willingham's 3-week numbers are the same people saying that our lineup is fine and the bats will come around.

I didn't mean it to be a loaded question (okay maybe a little).  The names start to blur after a while and I can't remember who said what.  It's possible that there's no overlap.

Just out of curiousity, how many times have you going to "move on?"

Nice article on Souza, who's putting together a very good start to the season - slugging .744 so far.  Also scored 1560 on the SAT's, which may not help him all that much as a ballplayer, but it definitely can't hurt.

Is that on the new scale out of 2400?

I find it hilarious that people are griping over Willinghams sub-.700 OPS right now, going on and on about his whopping 3 HRs (while ignoring his unbelievable K rate) and how we "miss his production on the Major League roster". Currently, Laynce Nix is out-hitting him. Will Hammer turn it around? Most likely, for a month or two. But we all know what will happen in the 2nd half of the season. Loved him when he was here, but I don't miss him at all.

I want to see what Rodriguez (Brown was an add-in and probably will never do much in the Majors at all) does in the majors before I boldly claim that Rizzo got pwned.

And one other thing -- the Nats have averaged almost 5 runs/gm in winning 8 of the last 12, scoring 59 runs, without Zimmerman....it won't continue, but it's sure nice to see. Just sayin' :)

No. But you're nagging about someone wishing Josh was still here.

Get over it. hammonds can do whatever he wants without you telling him what to do.

Once for each time someone else comments and he responds.  ALthough, in a few cases he may make his "final comments" or "last words on the subject" instead.

wow Garrett Mock allowed three runs in the first inning ... that's no big surprise.  4 walks, that may be a career low for him :lmao:

He now has 14 BBs in 11.1 IP this year for Syracuse :?

Wasting valuable innings.

Where's Oliver Perez? Still working to get out the kinks in Florida? Crazy :?

Anyone know if Hagerstown has a double header today.  I'm having a little trouble deciphering their site/schedule.

Yeah.  Meyers should be up.  Time to cut ties with Martin/Mock.

I think they are completely breaking him down, starting from scratch and building him back up?
