It's funny how some only have something to say when we're doing poorly. It's pretty pathetic, IMO.

Great game offensively! We needed that crap.

my apologies. I wasn't home, so I did not watch the game.

I hope he wasn't referring to me either. I had to lend my laptop to my parents during the middle of the game so I couldn't post for a while.

LOL. Neither was I. It's really something to read over these GD threads from the beginning and see how people leave once we start doing well, but come right back when the first negative thing happens.

Equally hilarious is some who try desperately to find something of value when the team plays like crap.

And yes, we needed it. Badly.

(I have to do this b/c I only posted a few times today)

We face some pretty bad pitching during 6-game stretch, so this is a good chance for our offense to kick it up a notch or two or ten.

I have to leave (bowling league), but I KNOW that we'll score 6+ today. MVP will be Flores. Book it. :D

I was off on Flores, but I did have a feeling about this game, damn it!

Flores did hit a Solo HR and drew a 5 pitch walk late in the game. He also threw out a runner at 2nd base.

MVP though has to go to Lastings. No doubt.

Belliard should get at least honorable mention.

Who IS it you are referring to Ronny?  Everybody I know who has been quite vocal at being disgusted at this team was there at the end of the game and happy for a win.  But I'll spread some Christmas cheer if you wish - wakeup call: it WAS against the Pirates after all.   :icon_mrgreen:

Quote
Pittsburgh’s Matt Capps (0-1) had been 15-for-15 in save opportunities and appeared headed to his third save in as many days when he got two quick outs to open the ninth. But on successive pitches Elijah Dukes doubled to right and Milledge homered to left.

“We all know that Capps is an aggressive guy, and Dukes and I are aggressive hitters, so we were trying to get to him early in the count,” Milledge said. “We knew we were going to get that fastball and that’s what we were looking for, and both of us got it.”

DUKES + MILLEDGE = MOST GANGSTA DUO/BEST YOUNG OUTFIELD DUO IN BASEBALL.

I just don't get this obsession with PENGUINS...

And abandoning your team to go bowling or balling...

Who really gives a crap what Ronnynat thinks of whoever or whatever? I'm surprised it garnered this much attention. If your all so concerned, I'll take one for the team: Ronnynat was talking about me because he knows all about fandom.

There. Scapegoat found. Problem solved.

Now let's beat the Bucs again.
