Anyone know if Kennedy's option is team or mutual? He'd be solid on the bench with Gonzalez and Morse/Maxwell.

They probably give visiting cameramen crappy positions. :)

He wasn't very good sharing time this year. Would he be good off the bench?

Damn, I walk out of my office for a second and miss Espinosa hit a dinger.  Was it a no doubter or was it just over the wall?

I don't know why, but I have a really hard time not liking the guy. I hope he comes back next year in '09 form.
I think Nyger had his " Dave Winfield" Moment ( Ohio State vs Minnesota college Basketball brawl started by Winfield)  and now he can take his lumps, pay his dues,  have a great spring and put this all behind him.

I hope so. I really liked him for a while. Now I just hope he has enough smarts to play.

OT: If Dunn doesn't re-sign and Rizzo decides to go after a FA first baseman, would you rather get Huff or Pena?

I would bet they would just give Morse a try.

I'd actually want us to get Pena. I know he's had a pretty bad year this season, but it'd put that crazy power threat back in the lineup.

I keep thinking Aubrey Huff is having a fluke season, but he was pretty impressive with the O's in the past. The Giants got a steal in him.

He can back up 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. He doesn't need to hit a ton, but if Espinosa or Desmond falls off a cliff, you need a safety net, and his option is like $1.5 mil.

I would be shocked if they spend FA $$$ on anything but a Starter in the rotation. Morse at first if they don't sign Dunn.  The FA starters (Aces) will look at the Nats now that Stras won't be back for 1 plus seasons.  Look at who Boras has as FA starters next year and I would guess we sign one of his guys. Rizzo and Boras have a good relationship now and they will get a deal done.
