Is Nieves hurt?  I just don't understand this.  Even AJ Pierzynski or Paul Lo Duca could've thrown out Matt Diaz right there.
Yep, he would have been dead by a good distance.

It really would have been nice if could have gotten some runs with the bases loaded in the first.  >:(

Lead off walk, stolen base and a base hit. nice job Rivera. but lets keep him in until the Braves score 6 runs this inning

Manny is killing this team by leaving Estrada out there.
QFT.  He is a liability behind the plate and provides nothing offensively.  At least play Nieves until/if he cools off.

reminds me of that time the Nats had to pull their catcher after he gave up 5 stolen bases and he started crying in the dugout

Isn't this how Rivera lost a game recently?

You got that story all wrong. Lecroy didn't cry in the dugout. Frank Robinson cried in the postgame.

Good play there. But Chipper is bound to make us pay for the leadoff walk.

Ah yes, the great Matt LeCroy.  Good times.

Actually, I think it was Frank Robinson who cried in the post-game over that one.

Good play by Felipe to throw out Diaz.  That freaking idiot Estrada left the plate completely open right there.  Good thing for them that Diaz is an idiot and didn't slide.

And still it feels like we're losing because this offense has to score again in order for us to win.

i think he was scared of Estrada, I guess being an oversized catcher has its advantages

He only fixed what he freaked up to begin with so he's back to neutral.

I think they both may have cried.

I remember Lecroy laughing about it when told.

At least we've gotten to their bullpen now.

Who is Blaine Boyer and how many runs can we score off him?
