Just rank Alabama #1 until they lose every year.

lol.  Michigan went almost 3 full years without being ranked before they went 11-2 last year.

There's still a tendency to overrate teams who have had great teams in the past.

Notre Dame is back!
Michigan is back!
Miami is back!

Of course there is.  There would be less of one if they'd not put out a poll until mid October.  That said, Michigan, actually, is "back", maybe not national title levels, but they're a top 15 team.

Hard to argue at this point. Anyone could look awful against Bama.

Pre-season polls are garbage, agreed.

I'll say this, that was easily the most polished I've ever seen Taylor Martinez look as a passer yesterday.  Still a little shot put-ish, but all the other mechanics looked light years better than he did last year.  He was accurate and crisp all day.  If that carries through the rest of the season, we could be on to something!

Big win for Maryland. Stefon Diggs is the best player on the offense already and Hillis looked very good today. Run defense is legit.

Lucky to survive a scrappy PSU team.

Much needed win.

pretty much the only thing that can be said.

diggs is a monster (like we all said he would be).  hills looked very, very good today.  i love how he controlled the tempo of the game and wasn't unnerved at all.  really big step forward.

i am very impressed with the defense thus far.  W&M featured a veteran offense last week and the Terps defense really rose to the challenge (in terrible field position).  today the D was on the field a lot of the second half, but made some big plays.  secondary got burned a bit, but all in all, i'm impressed.

good win for the terps.  let's just change the title to Maryland football (2012-13 season) like PA said.

p.s. good work by linty/SF's cavs (penn state is 0-2 hahahahaha) and nc state.  ACC had a good day (except for miami yikes)

I don't recognize this A&M team.  Speed, power, emotion?  If I didn't know better I'd say they were an SEC team.

Other than the fumble issue, Wes Brown looked like our best back. Diggs is a nice player already and Hills looked decent especially for a true freshman behind a makeshift oline. Madaras looked pretty solid too from what I saw. I didn't see Tate anywhere, did I miss him or is he out?

Edit: saw he's out for about 3-4 weeks with yet another knee injury. Such a shame, he's an incredibly talented player.

I guess it would have been a laugher against a full strength PSU team. Ah well, good for UVA.
