Why is the Braves-Phillies game starting at 5?

The Nats handle rain situations worse than anybody. Wouldn't surprise me if Cards score a lot early and then we have a long delay.

They're warming up the pitchers.  Why, looking at the radar, would you start this game before this large patch of rain clears the area?

Yes, the Cardinals play tomorrow afternoon and have to travel but freak 'EM!

And?  There a very large patch of clear weather beyond the large patch of rain.  Why not wait for that?

Agreed. Play tonight if you have to. They are going to waste a Strasburg start.

Cardinals only have to travel to back home. Would be equivalent to playing a Sunday night ESPN game then having to play day game next day. We had to do that earlier this season.

Why is the rain intentionally trying to screw us?

That should have been strike 3.  This is STEPHEN STRASBURG, umpire!

I live in Texas. Indoor baseball is a gift from heaven. I've seen a game sitting in direct sun at 104 degrees. It was so hot I didn't even drink a beer.

Did a little heat bother the defenders of the Alamo?  Where's that hardy pioneering pluck, eh??
