Holbty playing well, but he's also playing a very wide net

Another promising start pissed away. Lucky to only be down 1. Too many penalties as usual.

He was way out of position on that last goal. Left man wide open in front of goal

If there is a god, we will see Milbury get mugged in front of the cameras in Central Park before the night is through.  "Hockey Day in America", indeed.

Make up call for the first period. Again, Caps getting scoring chances but can't put it in the net.

Backstrom needs to be off the PP unit. He looks so weak, easily pushed off the puck.

Ovechkin has had countless open shots on the PP in this game, but nothing.

Dreadful. Kept shooting it right into the dman. Time for Caps to tank the season. These losers suck. How can they not score in the last 55+ mins of the game??

Hopefully Milbury gets mugged in Central Park.

We have to kick the cuteness level up a notch:

Those pups need to stop watching the Caps. Games like last night are heart breaking. During the 3rd when it was 2-1 Caps I took a nap then later when I checked to see what the outcome was I noticed it was a 3-2 loss. I had hopped it was an Overtime loss, but nope it was all in regulation no points. ARGH.

At least the last 2 periods were entertaining.  Holtby deserved better than that result.  Hell, the whole team did.  If I believed in conspiracies, I'd say the fix was in.

Short season, gotta lock up that NYC metro money in the playoffs.

I hope Bettman gets his worst nightmare and Winnipeg plays Edmonton for the Cup.

Weird family seated in front of us last night...a guy with two young boys (I guess his sons), one of whom had on a Caps jersey and the other a Leafs jersey, but both of whom were rooting for NJ.  I blame them for the karmic disturbance that led to the loss.

If you're going to tomorrow's game and you ride the Orange Line from Virginia, be aware that the trains will run in the pre-1986 service pattern—that is, the Orange Line will terminate at Ballston this weekend (beginning tonight) to allow for work related to the Dulles extension.

In other words, no service to Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church, or East Falls Church. Don't get caught by surprise on the way to the game tomorrow. (While they say they will run shuttle buses, you'd be better off just driving and parking downtown, or else parking at the Ballston Common garage and taking the skybridge to the Ballston stop.)

Holtby's been a beast recently.

Wolski is okay, but he's been a turnover machine all season.

The Eric Fehr renaissance might be the most surprising part of the team this season.
