pass on everybody.

I'm more concerned with the players that we have that will be Rule-5 Eligible unless we put them on the 40 man roster. http://natsfarm.com/2009/11/18/rule-5-eligiblility

Surprising that Everts wasn't put on the 40, guess Rizzo doesn't think he has a chance.

The Nationals could always re-sign any of those guys. Though I imagine that either (a) the player is looking for a new team/opportunity or (b) the team has decided to move on.

As for Rule 5, I'm still guessing we will see no more than 2 protected, leaving one spot open for the actual R5 draft

Probably ought to split that list among minor league roster fillers (Eldred, Casto, Molina, Ramirez) and guys who just became eligible for minor league free agency.  The latter should be split among certifiable busts and guys who still might work out.  Probably the more recent starter to reliever conversions are the only ones who will be added to the 40 man. Thsoe are more late developments than busts. I'm guessing Everts stillmakes the 40 man.

Good luck to casto in that organization.  I've always been a fan and he plays hard.  Hopefully he can get back to the bigs there.

The Nats only had Hopper's rights for 2 months of actual playing time? Weird.
