I wasn't saying anything about the guy wanting to win or not I was saying that he's a class A assclown that should be outright released for such a dipcrap comment.  The rest of what you said I agree with, that guy has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason and if what H-Nat said is true he should have to ride the bus Greyhound back to Syracuse.

What did houston say? I think I'm missing something here.

Also, Chief, I'm totally confused... sarcasm or something? I mean, I figured there was some hyperbole in your post, but I wasn't sure to whom it was directed (or if the whole thing was complete sarcasm and you think he's fine).

Quote from: H-Nat
Apparently Yunesky Maya said through an interpreter that in the fifth inning "the heat got to me" and the heat "bothered" him.

Heat?  Come on!!!

Another winner found by the Rizzo scouting department.
I don't think that's fair at all.  It was pretty hot and humid out today and on the rare occasions that I got to step out of the office I noticed that my breaking balls were hanging more and that my fastball was losing some movement.  It's really just how it goes.

I'm trying to get into advanced baseball statistics.. but I just cannot grasp how wins can be put into a mathematical formula.

How can Espinosa be ahead of Werth at this point? I don't mean to come across like a dick, somebody, please explain how it works to me.

He's a much better fielder, runs the bases better, plays a tougher position and his offense isnt bad enough for Werth to make up for what he lacks in the other categories.

Looks like my 1-5 homestand prediction is spot on.  Does anyone seriously believe we're going to steal one from Halladay-Lee-Oswalt?

If it were Lee-Halladay-Oswalt, I'd at least probably cancel the President race... lol

Maybe the Chief or someone could create a bot to do it. That would save everyone else the heartache...

Do you understand how WAR is derived? If not, go here:

Scroll down and read the series of links at the end of the article (Background on WAR - Offense and Pitching).
