This is how it starts.

Play within yourself. Don't make stupid mistakes.

At least that throw didn't go in the dugout.

That might be the best 1st inning in Nats history
Nice to see them beat up a mediocre pitcher for a change

I think what you meant to say was:

"HOW ABOUT THAT!  HOW GOOD HAS ADAM LAROCHE BEEN OVER THERE AT FIRST BASE?"

i honestly don't know what he was doing over there in the corner for so long—I'm assuming he thought he found a four-leaf clover

Why didn't they switch to a first base side camera so that we could see what's going on.

Morrison can't field, but he sure can hit.

If Chad Gaudin were in our bullpen, I'd be really scared of losing this game because that runner just scored. But since Chad Gaudin's not in our bullpen, I'm not all that scared of losing this game.

From another board: "well, i won't keep ranting about javy. i'll just say he shouldn't be in there. and as a marlins fan, i am disappointed they keep running him out there. Another MORONIC move by the CHEAP Marlins front office who were instructed by Loria to get SOMEBODY to pitch, just "don't spend any REAL money". After all, Loria has to POCKET all that Luxury Tax loot he gets every year."

"Typical Marlins CHEAPNESS is showing. A Pinch Hitter is playing 3rd base, a 1st baseman is playing LF, a washed up BUM is pitching, and throw in probably the worst defensive short stop in the NL and you get this kind of inning."

Born at old Garfield Hospital. When you see pictures of the Stadium, Garfield is the the flat-roofed building (three wings?) on the left field line. Absorbed into DC Hospital Center. Sister born there, too, and had her tonsils out at Providence Hospital in Michigan Park. We were a North East family...South Dakota Ave, Michigan Ave, Rhode Island Ave, Turkey Thicket, Avondale.

And you?

I think we are looking at double digit runs today (especially if Vazquez stays in the game for a while).

When will Ryan Z reappear? July 4? Mid June? (Would be nice to have another good hitter, especially if he can field.)

2 runs given away due to Hairston error. Wasted opportunity to shut them down.
