Is the gun messed up on MASN? Or did Bally really dial it down 6-7 MPH off his fastball?

Just walked in a couple of innings back. Turned on the Mets game. They're playing the "lowly" Nats, but Keith Hernandez is already telling stories from the '80s, and saying "wow Espinosa" every other sentence.

Espinoza with a rifle-shot throw from SS. He looks like a keeper (although I saw the first game that Yankees SS Frank Baker played about 1971...4 for 4 and that was the best he ever did. So no jinxing.)

"The Mets had a 3 run lead...but then the Danny Espinoza show erupted."

Keith and Glide use hair coloring.

Ok, MASN's gun is off by 4 MPH according to Gameday.

I was a bit shocked to see Bally only hitting 91 on the gun.

Bally is filthy.  Loving all this young talent on the team.  What could have been if we would have had the kids up the entire season and cut bait with the old bums we have on the bench.

One Day the Lerners will finally get it, and our mop-up guys will cost 12 mill a year too.

Can't wait to get to the Ballpark this weekend. This Nats team is awesome. With Dunn's leadership and the passion and excitement these young guys bring, this next month is going to be great to watch!

"Nationals score 13 unanswered runs on a big day for Danny Espinosa", says Gary Thorne.

"Mets get pummeled", says Keith H.

Balester looks mighty sharp, I say...those three fastballs at 95+ mph and then the diving curve that left the batter tied up...he needs the shaggy beard so he looks like a ferocious veteran rather than a nice young kid.

***

Bobby Ojeda in post-game puts down the Nats. Says Mike Pelfrey lost his motion: "This is not a good ball-club at all, but their knocking him all over the park...unable to self-correct against a lousy ball-club".

THAT's why I want the Nats to catch and pass the Mets.

Ah...sad. As it is, I want to pat him on the head whenever I see a picture. He just looks young. Needs that Goose Gossage look: mean and hard-throwing. Maybe cover his face up to the eyeballs like Andy Petitte...get a black glove...develop that "I own your soul" look.

I like his passion. What I don't like is his recent performances. Show why you belong in the rotation and you will get your spot.
