Did you go to any of the Philly games that were invaded? They were drunking pillagers.
PA I have been to Nats games since day one and have run(dealt with) into many Nat and away team drunk pillagers.  Doesn't matter who a bonehead's favorite team is.  He/she is still a bonehead.  Hey I don't think I have asked you this.  Are you an Penn State fan?  If so my little league coach was Kyle Brady's father.

This is a post for the ages  What I mean was the fact that they got drunk on the way down in party buses.

Pretty neat about Kyle Brady, he works for the Big Ten Network now! I grew up a UVA fan, however. Going to the game at FedEx in November :az:

Actually had a good outing last night at home vs Myrtle Beach (Braves affiliate) - 6 2/3 IP, no runs allowed, 1 walk, 13 strikeouts...record now 2-2, ERA down to 4.81 (http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=t426&gid=2010_09_01_myrafa_wilafa_1&cid=426&t=g_box).

That's probably it for him for this season since the Blue Rocks have just four matches left (Myrtle Beach finale is tonight, then season ends with three at home against Frederick).

With no success above A ball, I'm still satisfied.

Turns out he did get one more start - in the season finale against Frederick on Labour Day - and he was back on accustomed form, lasting only 4 2/3 innings (10 hits, 8 runs all earned, 1 walk, 7 strike-outs, no home runs allowed; final ERA for Blue Rocks is 5.93) in a 14-8 loss.

Fire everyone in the FO for not signing future Cy Young winner Aaron Crow! Minor league pitcher of the week for his league. Oh yeah, in single A. But who's counting As? Certainly not Aaron.

Quote
Carolina League
Aaron Crow, Wilmington
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 6 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 1 BB, 13 K
Aaron Crow, the 12th overall pick of the 2009 Draft, has had an underwhelming first year as a pro (coming into his final start of the season, he's 9-9 with a 5.45 ERA across two levels), but he reminded the Royals what he's capable of with a commanding turn Wednesday. Crow whiffed a career-high 13 over 6 2/3 shutout innings against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He struck out the side in the first, struck out three in the fifth and fanned at least one in every inning he pitched.

Thus far in spring training he's made 2 appearances, both in relief - 4 IP, 6 hits allowed, 2 runs (both earned), ERA 4.50, opposing BA .333, 1 walk, 4 strikeouts, no decisions.

He's dating this chick, I've never heard her music, and it's hard to tell if she's hot with all the make-up, but I'll bet she's a firecracker.

For the record, in spring training Crow is wearing #43 - once worn at the Nats by the much-missed Jesus Colome.

Had a fairly good go of it in a split-squad match with the A's yesterday - 2 IP, no hits or runs allowed, 1 walk, 1 strikeout: http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2011_03_10_kcamlb_oakmlb_1

Curiosity got the better of me so I listened to a couple Ke$ha songs. :spaz: Target audience: tweens. If he has to listen to her sing, karma has nag slapped him for jilting the Nationals.

Crow apparently still in contention for a bullpen spot - http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110321&content_id=17050852&vkey=news_kc&c_id=kc - key quote:

'There are five bullpen spots to be filled, with eight pitchers in contention: Kanekoa Texeira, Luis Mendoza, Jeremy Jeffress, Robert Fish, Aaron Crow, Tim Collins, Louis Coleman and Nate Adcock. Yost said he's made up his mind to take one of them, but declined to identify him.'

His numbers in spring training: 6 appearances (all relief), 9 IP, 7 H, 2 R (both earned), 2 BB, 8 SO, no HR allowed, 2.00 ERA.

I'm guessing that Crow, Jeffress, and Fish are the odd men out. That is actually a very difficult decision. All of those guys are pitching quite well.

Crow has options.  Also, odd that it turns out that neither the guy we drafted with that high pick  nor the compensation we got for him was able to be #1 / #2 starter.

Still clinging to major league dreams: Royals lose 8-7 barn-burner with Cleveland (box-score: http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2011_03_23_kcamlb_clemlb_1) but Crow earns a hold: 2 1/3 IP, 2 hits allowed, 1 run (earned), 1 walk, 3 strikeouts.

It appears that he is pitching better now than last season. I still think he is a jerk and the HenDICKS bros are incompetents.

So the Royals drop >$3M on this cat in the first round and are seriously considering him for the bullpen already? Why? Oh yeah, Dayton...

Crow made the Royals roster as a reliever. Here's to hoping he crashes and burns in the Majors
