That's about as unspecific as you can get.  Maybe I overestimated you.

How about the remaining littany in that post? The problem is that they are not responsible for one isolated area like the fact that the sausage stand isn't open when the game starts, or that the napkin dispensers run out by the third inning, or that Lannan doesn't react quickly enough to cover first base. Team owners who have created systemic dysfunction aren't responsible for those specific items. They are specifically responsible for the systemic dysfunction.

I don't think they are obsessing about staples or paper clips but they are involved in a lot more than you're willing to admit to. I believe they are involved in decisions about how much to spend on the roster. I'm starting to think The Chief is a Lerner or maybe he's banging one of the Lerner granddaughters. So far, in my opinion, they have soiled the water in the hot tub.

Well sure I'm sure they set the roster cap.  So what?  The point is that, unlike all of you, I've seen no reason to believe that they are evil penny-pinchers

That's what I always thought too but it's still funny.

this is what I don't like about dunn's walks - he walks so Belliard can bat?

PANatsFan changed his name again!

In the meantime, the Nats are a double form tying this.

It's not Dunn's fault the guys behind him suck.

crap all we need is a single to extend the inning and Belliard is swinging for the fences.  :bang:

yeah it's been a very bad year for him.  he doesn't get many at bats, but when he does, he doesn't produce.  it's probably time to cut ties with him.

How about the remaining littany in that post?

Why bother?  Your opinion is set in stone, and nothing will ever change it.  I'm sorry that I don't think a few anonymous testimonies from grunt level ex-employees is concrete proof that the Lerners are Boris and Natasha in disguise.  When there is more proof and/or years of sucking, then I'll probably nag and whine like the rest of you (though even then, I'd like to think that I could control my spasms enough to keep them in relevant threads :? )  But I really don't think it'll come to that.  Maybe I'm wrong.  We'll find out.

That's a conveniently non-disprovable argument.

Anyway, back to the game...  are we seriously relying on Belliard in this situation?

I can't blame a guy for getting on base. The greatest ever got a hit 40% of the time, the allstar hitters get hits 30% of the time. Free passes are a gift you take. I don't want a guy swinging at pitches he doesn't feel he can hit. If we had a lineup of 400OBP guys we would be in a pennant race.

2 outs, he's they tying run, the pimp is up after him. I'd rather him swing for the fences there

Well at least we agree on something ;)

Although I can't really fault HalfSmokes' opinion either.  Dunn might as well swing at everything with all the garbage-pile guys hitting behind him.

No reason for Fat Ronnie to be on a major league roster.  Him and Colome need to be cut.

So you need current employees to stick out their necks and risk their jobs in order to believe their testimonies? That's a convenient way to disbelieve anything negative about the Lerners. For me it's going to take them doing something over several offseasons to improve and continue to improve the team so they can be perennial contenders. Anything less than that is failure.

If our line up was decent, take the walk every time, but pimp is below the mendoza line
