Velocity is nice but that's not my main concern right now. I'm just glad he's out there tossing live grenades.

Nats' gun had Strasburg at 97, touching 98 once in first.

I'm most enthused about the eight swinging strikes in sixteen pitches.

Pirates trailing 7-3 bottom of the 8th.

Woes lose to Toronto 7-2 in front of a rollicking Sunday afternoon Preparation H Park at Camden Yards crowd of just 13,824.

Even that is meaningless since he's going up against kids who are green. They're out of their league against Strasburg, even if it's Strasburg's first rehab game.

This.

I'd expect him to be throwing hard. Most TJ rehabers do. I'm more concerned about his control and his breaking ball.

Seriously, why is his rehab start not being televised?

Last night was really depressing in Harm City.  Sure, it started to rain at 7pm but at 6:30pm there couldn't have been 15,000 people at Hammonds Yards last night.  At 7:45pm they still had bobbleheads left at some of the entrances.  Sad, sad scene.  I did get on the jumbotron last night though.

Oof. A close inning for Lannan. The Nats will need a lot more than 2 runs today.

We need more runs. 2 runs in Denver is absolutely nothing
