Now that's a close call. Raining in the parking lot but not on the playing field.

It's pretty easy to pick the stadium out.  It's at a 90* turn in the FL Turnpike in the middle of friggin' nowhere.

You get used to FL rain down here.  You hang out with you neighbor in the front yard, having a couple drinks, and watch the storm come down the street.  Then you go in the garage for 10 minutes while it passes, and come back out and wait for the next one.

But there doesn't look to be near that number though.

That stadium looks empty with 35,000 on opening day.  It's a pitiful excuse for a baseball stadium unless you like seats that aim to short right-center.

Major storm cell just blossomed due east of the stadium and looks like it may expand westward.  Could be a soaker.

i was at the stadium once for a game and i swear my neck hurt the entire week after it from having to keep it turned in order to see the field from our seats.  Easily the worst designed baseball stadium (yea i know the Dolphins were there first).

This was the one game scheduled today that ESPN's Fantasy baseball thought was certain to get both rain and thunderstorms.

Speaking of fantasy baseball, I saw you picked up Polanco today. I dropped Kendrick the other day b/c I thought there would be more options at 2B just in case. Thanks. :?

Here is the link for the Dolphin Stadium Webcam if you want to check back and see if/when the tarp is removed.

Looks like rain has stopped - at least temporarily.  They may still take a while as storms are in the area.

DS drains extremely well, but it looks like there is a lot of standing water.

Apparently they are calling for thunderstorms off and on for the rest of the day, so I guess they either have to just call it or hurry the eff up and get the last couple innings in ASAP.

I'm okay with calling it and marking another Curly W in the books.

They're nuts.  There is a lot close by and a bigger system coming right behind it.

[EDIT: the storms are moving NNE]

Boo. They'll play just long enough to tie the game against our crappy bullpen.

Good God, looks like they will give it another shot.  I bet if they can not finish it this time around they will call it, they have got some balls though after seeing that radar.

With the tying run at 2nd, they'll do whatever they have to do to resume action.
