How long are we going to keep Detwiler dawdling in the minors?  This is what it's come to, lusting after Ross Detwiler...
He's only just had his first rehab start, didn't he?

No he stole Dennis Eckersley's wife

That's better trivia than the other question.

He's showing me .417 / .500 / .583 and he's stuck at the very end of a lousy bench?  WTF more does he have to show?
I don't know.  It really is as if Riggs has something against him.  I don't hold out hope of him being Werth 2.0 or anything, but Bernadina / Morse has to be better than Morgan / Bernadina, doesn't it?

One obstacle to shagging your teammate's wife is that you're usually on the road when he is. Indians outfielder Rick Manning cleared that barrier by cracking a vertebra in his back and staying in Cleveland while he mended. According to Terry Pluto's The Curse of Rocky Colavito, Manning convalesced with his teammate Dennis Eckersley's wife, Denise, while the Indians were on the road. Upon his election to the Hall of Fame this year, Eckersley told the San Francisco Chronicle that he was "devastated, really emotional" after finding out about the affair. "I'm most proud of that year," Eckersley continued, "winning 20 under that type of stress." Manning and Denise Eckersley later married.

Martin actually gave us a shot if we had any offense.

... then why do we want to extend Dunn and Willingham?    Just wonderin' ...

Well since the game is a stinker

Let's try Cleveland Indians trivia;

Which ex-Indian outfielder had a back-up part in the baseball movie, "The Natural"?  No I wasn't Glenn Close.
Rookie of the Year Joltin' Joe Charboneau

I wouldn't call 6 runs really giving us a shot, but he did go 7 innings to stave off using the pen.  Being 2 hit by the Indians is much more a slap in the sack.

Why wouldn't anyone else sign him?

Bad shoulder injury cut his season short, a dislocation.  He rehabbed but it impacted his abilities.  He ended up signing in Japan and put up decent numbers over there for a few years.

I still say Harris winds up with a higher average than Nieves.  Heck, he may even throw out more base stealers than Nieves this year.

He had actually hurt it in AAA before being called up, I think was even on the 15 day DL (or whatever equivalent they have in the minors)  Those sorts of injuries (I know from experience) that once you get them started, becomes much easier to re-injure.  Which is what happened, probably as you recall.

I didnt know he had been hurt at AAA but I was at the stadium the night he went down.  Just remember him getting hurt and being replaced by Jamie Carroll.

Had he stayed in to pitch 6 more innings of no ER ball he would've had the equivalent of a quality start.
