minty's "awesomeness" doesn't make keeping kearns just because he can play defense in the 9th inning any less stupid.
I think you missed the big picture. We suck either way. Dumping Kearns for nothing may be the fan-pleaser thing to do, but it's not smart. Keep him and see if you can offload ANY part of his contract in any way possible, and if you can't, THEN you dump him. I'm pretty sure that's the point Minty was making, and I agree. Sorry but we suck no matter what, ditching Kearns just to make WNFF happy is not smart management.
