Ok... I loved the K of Stairs by Capps... but I wouldn't classify it as "one of the gutsiest pitches ever".

Also, does Rizzo go to every single game?

It was a pretty ballsy pitch.

It looks like it. I would if I had his opportunity.

Once again we slap a pitcher around in the first and then let him right back into the game.

Love when the other team just gives up outs like that.

Would you also purchase a segway in team colors?

This post shouldn't really count since I'm just helping out a couple of posters on a question they debated in the game thread.

p.s. lol @ the nats fans that didn't want garland here :nono:

Who didn't want Garland?

Lackey and Smoltz. F Garland.

I'd probably steer clear of Garland.

I don't want Garland at all. We might as well give Martin a shot at starting if think about Garland because Martin is a younger version of Jon Garland.

I would much rather have JD Martin than Garland.

I'm not wild about Garland either.

He's not.  I almost wonder if Bernadina missed a sign or something.

Damn. It'll be tough to get that run back with how the offense is playing.

Awesome. Just awesome.

With the way our pitching is starting to go downhill and the fact our offense is in a perma-slump... This team looks more ready for collapse than to go on a run, regardless of opponent.

Our offense needs to wake up. We have to much pop in the middle to be this inefficient.

4th   Y Torrealba grounded out to second, A Gonzalez scored, M Stairs to second.   1   1
4th   T Gwynn singled to left, M Stairs scored, T Gwynn to second advancing on throw.

Nationals  1
Padres     2

A lot of people read GameDay Threads after the fact, or jump in the middle, so I've been trying to post scoring to give them a frame of reference.

We need to win this game.

Can we not find a better catcher and right fielder than Nieves and Bernadina?
