_______________________________________ _______________

With the Nationals wanting Shawn Hill to rest his ailing right elbow, Chico
will face the Phillies. Chico began the season as a starter, but he was
demoted to the bullpen after four consecutive bad outings. The major reason
for the bad starts was because Chico was pressing on the mound. However,
it has been a different story out of the bullpen. He has given up just one run
in 6 1/3 innings.

Moyer was solid in his last start. He went 6 2/3 innings, surrendering seven
hits and three earned runs in a 10-3 victory over Toronto on Friday. It
helped to get great run support, as the Phils vaulted out to an 8-0 lead after
three innings. It was one of Moyer's best starts, rebounding from two previous
poor starts.

LOL, Matt Chico has a higher average than Elijah Dukes and Young is hitting the same as Lastings Milledge. I feel "compensated."

Yeah right.

He's got a small decimal point problem going.  Just move it one place to the right, and he's a good hitter.

Hey, I see you're making good use of the expanded range of smileys, not to mention the really cool new one.

Ryan Howard is falling downhill, thank you god, struck out 4 times against us in the past two days, maybe 3, but hey still beating Dukes.

Dukes' batting average power, speed, athleticism, defensive instincts, and plate patience is beyond description.

fixed. there's no word to describe dukes abilities, i guess FREAKISH is the only fitting adjective!

anyways, we're gonna have to rely on chico to get us a series win.  :-[

hopefully the offense can get going vs old man moyer. we're gonna need some runs, the phillies offense isn't going to stay dormant for the third straight night (or will it? that's up to you matthew chico.).

Same lineup as yesterday for us:

Philadelphia

Rollins - 6
Victorino - 8
Utley - 4
Howard - 3
Burrell - 7
Werth - 9
Feliz - 5
Coste - 2
Moyer - 1

Washington

Lopez - 4
Guzman - 6
Zimmerman - 5
Young - 3
Milledge - 8
Flores - 2
Pena - 7
Dukes - 9
Chico - 1

I want 10+ runs tonight off of Moyer and the Phils. That might be our only chance to win. You have to figure Chico is going to give up 4-5+ so it'd be nice if our offense could bail out one of our pitchers for once instead of the other way around.

I'm not updating the rosters today.  He's got those #$%$ batting averages listed, too much work.

I'm gonna make a bold prediction that Dukes gets a hit tonight, hopefully he won't stop at just one. I just think after his effort in the 9th inning last night he may have gotten a little bit of confidence about him. It doesn't hurt that he's going against Jamie Moyer.

I'm gonna be even bolder and say that Dukes AND Milledge are going to homer.

I like your optimism. Both would be great, but I'll take either one at this point.

None have been added yet. Everyone's just using pics and smilies from other sites.

I'll add them when I have the time and patience.  Navigating a message board is very tedious when your dominant hand is in a cast, much less administering one.  Just remember that if I seem irritable
