Going to miss opening day for the first time in years. I guess I'll get to the 2nd or 3rd game.

The only OD I've missed was 2006 when I was in Chicago on business. Friends called me to rub it in. I happily let them know that at that exact same time I had snuck away and I was six rows back behind the plate at Wrigley. My first visit to the Friendly Confines.

Reds hits seen HRs that day. Wind was blowing out but apparently only for the Reds because the Cubs hit none. :mg:

Hot chocolate.  It'll probably be 38 degrees.

Oh man,  opening day at Wrigley last year was brutal.  There was a Nats fan sitting a couple of rows in front of me who went to the Cubs team store and bought a blanket with the cubs logo all over it.

Crappy seats under the scoreboard with my wife and two (nearly adult) kids. But being there is what's important.

Glass half full: that's a win-win situation in that one of them has to lose.

When you want both teams to lose, always root for the visitors.

What's the issue? If the Braves play the Phillies in Atlanta I root for the Phillies to send the Braves fans home unhappy, if they're playing in Philly I want the Phillies fans crying in their beers.

I can't quite bring myself to be rocking any Phillies gear, but I will be hoping they win for two reasons. 1.) I don't they will be a threat down the stretch the way the Braves migh, so every loss they can tack on the better and 2.) Ryne Sandberg is the third base coach for the Phillies and I'm taking my step dad's 1984 throwback Sandberg jersey to try and get signed for him.

I can't fault your logic.

Now that is a plan.

The same as for the whole season..... Watch on mlbtv.com

I will not go to any games this year.... As a payback for what Rizzo did in 2012

Should have started the "burg" up in late march and had him report in May or June   :icon_frown:

Unless the Phillies are playing and I'm rooting for them to go 0-162.

Opinions differ, but I'm going with the experienced baseball professional that has shown his mettle in the last few years.

I'd rather see the Orioles go 0 - 162
