It doesn't matter how he throws it or when he did it. He did it.

Yes it does. Sometimes crap happens.

I'd be more worried if he gave up only 3 solo HRs.

I would love to know if any study has been done on balls that are hit for singles, what the likelihood is that they could just as well have been outs if they were a foot to the left or right.  There is a lot of randomness in whether a batted ball is a single or an out sometimes. Whereas HRs and doubles are well hit.

That is 100% true, but those were good pitches the Phillies hit; NOT beachballs.

Regardless, they were pounding them out of him. Okay, Bergmann was throwing golfballs at them. The score is still 7-6 Phillies and the meltdown occured.

Wake up, people. The real Jason Bergmann just stood up.

It's Lo Duca.

How do you not let NJ or Dmriti bat? The next time you will pinch hit is the 5th spot when boone comes up and we might not get there

I actually think he showed signs of having a good season.

Or barely making contact and finding holes. I didnt see it and neither did you (I'm assuming because you said you were on break or something).  I dont know how you can make any assertion that he was getting pounded.

I'm not even a Bergmann lover.  I'm kind of indifferent as to who pitches

Guzman singled to left center, Belliard scored, Flores to second.
Nationals 7
Phillies 7

Milledge reached on an infield single, Flores to third, Guzman to second.
