you guys starting to get the feeling that riggs only trusts clippard and capps?

Dunno, but can you blame him if so?

I'm just slightly annoyed he didn't trust English more, but Walker/Burnett/Bruney? :nervous:

No.  He really can't.

Trust me. He can.

Despite his meltdown... Bruney is not a terrible pitcher. He does what he does... strikeouts tons of guys, walks lots of guys.

His postgame comments the last week or two seems to indicate as much, in addition to his actual bullpen usage.

Ugh, he's on my fantasy team.  I should have never picked him up.

Hopefully Villanueva gets a shot - 5 hits and 4 walks in 11 innings with 14ks and a 0 era

Trevor Hoffman just blew another save against the Pirates.

Damn, kind of sad to watch.

And the next in line is Hawkins, ugh.

A good reliever doesn't pitch the way he does.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to play the matchups and waited until Colvin was up to use Burnett.  Fukodome is a lefty, but then you have then you have two righties in Lee and Ramirez.  Or they might go Burnett to Fuko, then Bruney for the other two, then Clippard for the 8th.

I'm sure Jesse English took a voodoo doll that looks like Brian Bruney down with him to Syracuse.

The Astros have collected 33 walks in their first 19 games. 11 of them are by Michael Bourn, 9 by Jeff Keppinger, 13 by every other Astro combined.
The Nationals have walked 84 times, the Braves 98.
