Guzman at the end of last season was hitting WAY better than either Clayton or the Guzman we're all making fun of.

True.  And I was looking forward to him playing a full year this year.  Maybe even hitting first or second...but Clayton is just awful.  And he is performing like the Guzman of early last year.

Another thing:  Is our schedule not the biggest load of crap or what?  We get to start the season with 7 road games, then fly halfway across the country for our early afternoon home opener the next day?  Meanwhile the Mets take a puddlehopper to DC in a couple hours.  WTF???

CHIEF ANGRY!!!!!  YARRRRR!!!!!

Yeah I'd say so.  Dammit.  I really thought we could win this one and take the split.  One of our best pitchers against their #5 guy?  How pathetic is this?

yet another example of having a game in the WIN column...just to give it back and take a loss instead.  I'm absolutely sick of that crap.

Nah he's the LAST person you should be blaming here.

Well that just sucked.  But then again, perhaps losing in 12 sucks just a little less than losing in 9.

Ok, adios until the onslaught of hordes of savage Mets fans tomorrow!  Maybe Cheney will drill Pedro in the nuts by accident...hope springs eternal.

Actually not so much.  Just the same old Nats blowing a dozen opportunities to score and Guillen and Soriano going a combined 0 for 9.

Oh and Chief blew a save.

Even behind Vidro?  He had a good game today.

Why are you saying Stanton sucks, Cordero is the one who BLEW the save. Had he done his job, Stanton would not have needed to pitch.

I'm quite worried about Chad.  I don't think he's getting much movement, and it doesn't seem like his velocity is very good either.

I was counting on Chad and Majewski for the Nats to stand a chance of breaking .500 this season (in my stupid little personal private rationalization posititive thinking game) and it's definitely not there yet.
