You mean the first person watching this game? Because tweeting an orgasm has totally been done.

Ah well I don't do twitter so I wouldn't know.  I suppose I should have guessed though

i can't believe we are losing to this team.  sigh...

I am starting to think thought that Morse is going to be our 1B next year, he might actually put up a better WAR # than Dunn, the power drop-off will be off-set by better range and better average.

And he's cheaper.  Don't forget that.

Game after game, day after day we sit here and try to pick the white out of chickencrap.   Should we sign Dunn?   Is Zim a leader?   Should Desmond or Espinosa play SS?   Who's in the bullpen next year?    We suck.   Blow it up and start over.   Hell, I could get a lineup on this board to lose 100 plus games.    A milestone is winning 70 game?   Give me a break !!   Thanks I'm done :)

Bizarre thinking by Maxwell, who catches second out and flips ball to Harris, allowing runner to advance.

Nice catch by Harris.

When you set the bar as low as the Lerners have for the past couple of seasons then flirting with 70 wins is seen as "progress" by some. I'm not among that number.

Mercifully, the season comes to an end tomorrow. That's about he only positive.   :icon_frown:

When I was in management, we'd often say that people will work down to your expectations.   The same is true with your kids.   Spring training (if we get what we need in the off season), Mr. Lerner ought to go to Viera and say, "Look, anything less than 85 or 90 wins is a failure.  We're not gonna have anymore of this 70 wins is an improvement BS.    I have high expectations for myself, my children, my business and the Nats.    I expect nothing less from you as individuals."

Why wasn't Bally in the game?
Wouldn't have helped. You should pray that Balester is traded to another team. Riggleman is going to abuse his arm next year.

Did Morse get hurt or is Riggleman just a bad manager, or both?

It's setting up for another possible top 5 pick and an excuse/opportunity for the Lerners and their shills/apologists to claim that they aren't cheap because they spend money on signing bonuses for draft picks.  :bang:

Mets fan here. Have posted here rarely but read often.

After today's game I'm curious about the Nats' approach to D. Wright. Y. Maya threw behind his back and Tyler C. threw at his head. Is there a reason for that? Is there bad blood involving Wright and the Nats that I'm not aware of? I don't recall reading any smart alec comments by Nats against the Mets or by Mets against the Nats, so if there is a feud it is news to me.

Hope that's not the case.

I don't think either was intentional.  Maya was playing something like his 5th MLB game (though he was touted as majors ready) and Clippard has always been a little wild, usually getting by with a high fastball, one just got away.

They hit Kennedy twice anyway.

Wasn't one before any close pitches?  I did just remember that though.  Who knows.

Guess you folks are correct, Wright probably wasn't intentionally thrown at. I didn't see the game today but the AP lead its story with Wright homering after being thrown at twice, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Didn't mean to suggest something was, I just didn't know.

I wasn't watching either, I was listening to the Nats radio feed, neither of the guys said anything about him getting thrown at or anything that I heard, but I'm also working.  Who knows.
