skole has good numbers but he's old and playing at low levels.  the bat is good, but he is no where close to the prospect status of rendon, goodwin, or meyer.

I base my vote on this: if I'm an opposing gm, who is my first pick out if the bats farm system in a trade. It ain't karns IMHO.

Meyer has the highest upside IMO. He's my choice for #1.

I'm going with Goodwin all things considered.  Meyer most upside, but questions about where he'll pitch.  Rendon's injuries leave him with questions.  Of all the "high upside guys in our system, he seems to be one with the least amount of question marks.

What

Ace and number 2 potential are miles away from each other.

Rendon has big potential. But we've yet to see him healthy. If he puts up a good first half he takes the number one spot for me, but for now it's Meyer, love the stuff out of his frame.

It's undecided where he ends up. Ace potential but #2 more likely. Still think he has highest upside. I like Rendon but he is injury prone and hasn't shown too much yet when he's been healthy.

Too bad he ended up a pitching machine.

Fantastic example

Jordan Zimmermann is a number 2. He is not an ace.  Meyer's ceiling may be a number 2, but he is a long way away from it.

On the flip side of that, Rendon's ceiling is the best hitter on the team and one of the best hitters in baseball.

Fantastic example of what, that #2 pitchers can be close to being aces?  You just said a #2 isn't close to an ace, yet Jordan Zimmermann is pretty damn close to most #1 pitchers in the league.

I really don't understand this argument. What does it matter if a guy projects as a #1 or a #2? It all depends on the team anyway. We all know the truth is, with SS/JZ/GG, Alex Meyer projects as a #4 anyway. The rotation # doesn't matter.

Went with Rendon. The injury riddled season was a disappointment, but it was his first year. He has the ability to be one of the best all around hitters in the game, and definitely is our top prospect IMO.

Goodwin/Meyer as #2 is a pretty good debate though.
