Where's Ken Beatrice when you need him?

Ken Beatrice doesn't eat Arby's fries but he's told they are delicious.  Ken Beatrice has neither the sources nor the resources to scout high school players.  Yaw next on Sportscall.  WMAL 630.....  classic.

Can Church play any worse??  He's had all year to earn the LF job and he's done nothing.

I wonder if he's still around. Seems he would have made it to one of the sportstalk outlets if he was. But he was back in the 80s, right?

I can't believe I've kept my dogs waiting to go for their walk in order to watch this!

He had a long run up through the early 90's, so I think if he is still around he must be pretty old.  He had some health issues as I recall.

That is way too funny.  I've done the same thing to my dog for this of all things.

He's hit .260 fairly consistently.
Willy Mo is hitting .218, so YES, PLAN on it getting worse... soon!

It's not the batting that bothers me about Church. It's the defense.

Difference is that Mo hasn't had his consistent chance yet. I have the faith.

You're just reluctant to watch your dogs doo what the Nationals have been dooing all night.  Dood.

true.. Pena's average is disturbing.  I'm willing to give him a chance but if he hits like he did in Boston, forget it.  No way we can start both AK and Ryan in the outfield next year.

Church/Kearns combined stats this year: .259 AVG 20 HRs 97 RBIs (835 ABs)
Alex Rodriguez: .304 AVG 39 HRs 115 RBIs (444 ABs)

I was trying to work that in, but just couldn't figure out how. Good job.

Jimenez shouldn't even bother taking a bat to the plate. He should bring a lawn chair, sit down and watch three strikes go by.

True, but ARod's a baseball GOD! That usually means 2.5-3 people's stats in 1.

Yep, the Washington Diplomats.  Played for the North American Soccer League in the 80s.

Can't imagine a worse logo or uniforms. For God's sake, they called themselves the Dips?

No 1 player should ever have 19 more homeruns and 18 more RBIs than 2 starting outfielders who have a combined 391 more at bats than that one player.
