In spite of the effort tonight I still love my team.  ;)

We all do.  Hopefully in a year or two we will look back on these days with a sense of pride that "we remember the bad times."

Dagger

Cue Buckhantz, huh? I think we should only do that when we hit the "dagger". What a nice sound that is during B-Ball season.

OK LET"S RALLY NATS!

(ok ... it's preposterously wishful thinking - but this game (and this thread) has been the suck tonight so I'm going to don the pom poms and the rally caps and do my Nats dance ... just the same)

Understood, but I don't necessarily see this as a bad year. We've done fantastic w/ what we have. Can't wait either, though, for this team to be completed.

Steve Buckhantz needs some Prozac.  Sounds all depressed when the Wizards play badly.

I love my team, but I don't love the way we've been playing too frequently. I want to see the scrappy fighters, down-to-the-last-out fighters that we also are.

True.

As for King and Co. (i.e. those that are just like him) it must be sweet to collect a salary for defecating in public on a regular basis.

Dagger is a good one, but by favorite hometown call was Frank Herzog's customary, "Touchdown, Washington Redskins."  Bang Zoom go the fireworks is okay but I don't hear it enough.

MESSAGE TO MANNY:
Post this photo in the dugout.

THIS is what Mets pitchers are SUPPOSED to look like:
Head tilted back, looking up, back to the plate....
Batter smiling... Mets losing...

I miss Herzog badly.  Larry Michael just doesn't cut it.

Zim - 3 for 4 ... swinging the bat very well tonight - though he was robbed on that supposed double play

Larry sucks, and unfortunately, so will the Skins. If you think this Nats season is disappointing, wait'll you see Danny's latest offering. It makes me so sad. You can't replace an owner.

I really like the bang zoom.

I do because it's ours, but it always sounded too corny to me. Now DAGGER!!!! is something else.
