Did you see that? We might as well hope for the NBA ref to come work here. Looked like he was safe at 1st and no DP.

We rarely get those close calls at first - looked mighty close to me

How funny that my observation is considered an outburst when blatant insults and "f--k yous" directed at our favorite baseball team's players are just fine and dandy.

Give me a frickin' break.

I never said you had an outburst and I never said sportsfan does not have outbursts. My comment was about the fact that you said the posters at the Caps website don't take too kindly to his way of expressing himself so I assumed (maybe that was my mistake) they have outbursts about his outbursts. I don't mid sportsfan one bit but he has a right to express himself in this forum and I won't question his team loyalty for it. As for giving you a frickin break, nevermind...

Looked out on the replay. Not that I believed it when I saw it.

damn, Belliard's average went down FAST

Belliard also isn't an everyday player.

good inning... What is worse, losing games like today's and yesterday's where we never really had a chance from the start or losing games like Monday's 8th inning collapse?

24th Double Play for Zimmerman.  Why does everyone try to pull Glavine?  All we get are grounders?
At least Felipe went to right on his hit.  After watching all these soft tossers why can't Lenny Harris have a game plan for these guys?

Well, they don't have outbursts at the Caps boards, either, but there's hardly anyone over there who doesn't get a bit tired of the venom spewed towards the hometown team when they do bad.  I'm disappointed when the Nats, Caps, Skins, or Terps don't win, but jeez, to insult them, curse them, and belittle them is a bit over the top, and it gets tiresome to come to a game thread and read that all the time.

I have been saying the same thing to the TV.  He can't hurt you if he hits you.  Dive out over the plate and take the ball the other way.

To me they are the same except that one (tonight) frustrates me throughout while the one on Monday is devastating at the end and makes it seem worse.

Losing late leads are the worst, but getting behind early is a hopeless and helpless feeling.  You just want to fast forward the game, but you can't.

Yeah, I like mini heart attacks, too. :) It's what makes sports great.

It's 90 at game time and muggy like only DC can be. Glavine isn't even sweating. Must be nice to have so much control you can just sorta lob it.
