I defended Chico and said that he shouldn't be sent down but his time has come.. He is just a mess out there

I agree, He should be sent down but he's not worthless. I mean i'ma ll for criticing players or we, but it seems like your insults to players(nats) when they foul up jsut go way past the baseball aspect of criticizing. almost personal.

Hey, I've got an idea......let's walk Reyes again to lead off an inning.
yep, that always turns out great doesn't it?  The thing that bothers me most about Matt is that he never learns his lesson.  He keeps making the same dumb pitches and piling up the same costly walks over and over..

He's just the id to your superego. It's sort of like satire. I think it's pretty funny.
Hard to do when people keep quoting them!

I guess I'm just better at ignoring things than others are but his posts don't really affect me.

I'm not remotely amused - I find the caustic abusive personal attacks of the players to completely uneccesary and very offensive

after all of those pickoffs Reyes still steals 2nd base with ease... great job

Say what?  Now my head hurts and I don't know if it's from thinking about ids and superegos, or just from watching Chico pitch.

I'm sort of surprised Reyes didn't take third after Zim threw to first...

With a Reyes type, it's bad to try pickoffs too often because they get comfortable with their leads.

It does seem like he can do anything he wants out there.  He is a bigger Nat killer than Khalil Greene.

They would love him to get past that magical 5th inning mark whether or not Reyes scores.

It is cruel, bordering on sadistic to keep sending Chico out there, when he's so defenseless.  It's not good for the team and it's certainly not good for him to be put in this position every 5 days.

See, Khalil Greene is different than Jones or Reyes because he's not that good, but still notably kills the Nats.

I would have disagreed with you a week or two ago but now at this point I believe that we have no choice but to DL him or send him down to Columbus.

Yeah ... doesn't look like it's going to happen ... I feel bad for Matt ... the kid has been such a workhorse - but he's struggled so much lately ... it's hard to watch

Funny; we have the same number of hits as the Mets.

Glad to see Bacsik relieving instead of starting.  Don't get me wrong, he belongs in the minors, but the pen is good for now.

I worry that all of the good things that Chico may have gotten out of the first half of the seson are going to be erased by his absolute collapse since the ASB.  He looks like he has zero confidence out there.  Might it be time to give him some time off...15 day DL stint to gather himself.

I will give him props for taking the ball every 5th day though.

Exactly...this guy needs a great start to regain his confidence; maybe a start against the Pirates ;)
