Meh, who cares?  The games were actually played.  There's footage of them, you can probably find it on youtube.  We all know what actually happened, regardless of that the record book says.

Memphis should Reggie Bush the NCAA and tell them they lost the wins and thus cannot return them.

Vacating wins is a joke.

Have there been any game-winning buzzer beaters this year?  Everybody seems to be coming up very small in the final seconds of games this year.

Only Gonzaga and Colorado survived the round of 64 from the mountain and pacific time zones. Baylor is the western most team remaining in the tournament.

The big ten has 4 teams in the sweet 16 (unlike their football brethren they have shown up in the postseason), the Big 12 has two squads remaining, the SEC has two berths, one from the Atlantic Ten, one from the mid-american, 3 from the Big East and 2 from the ACC with one game pending between an ACC and a big east team. If Cincinnati wins the last game of the weekend the state of Ohio will have 4 teams in the sweet 16.

No buzzer beaters but a lot of competitive games that have come down to the final shot.  This Cincy/FSU game is shaping up like it could go down to the wire, too.

The south bracket is now a mini tournament between the big ten and the Big East.

How crazy would it be if Xavier and Cincinnati met again in the tournament?

If they did meet, it would be for the championship.

I heard that, for the first time, 4 teams from one state (Ohio) advanced to the round of 16.  amazed Carolina never pulled that one off.

One will be eliminated immediately.  #6 Cincinnati plays #2 Ohio State in Boston next.  #10 Xavier is also from Cincinnati, so you potentially could have two teams from the same city in the championship.

Hard Times Cafe was originally a chili parlor, that offered either Texas or Cincinnati styled chili.
When those 2 teams faced off in the NCAA tournament years ago, I called the restaurants,
suggesting they promote it  They were oblivious to the whole idea.

VCU was an #11 seed in 2011 with a play-in game required.  #8 Butler lost to #3 UConn in the championship.  The remaining low seeds in 2012:
#13 Ohio plays #1 North Carolina in St. Louis next.
#11 NC State plays #2 Kansas in St. Louis.
#10 Xavier plays #3 Baylor in Atlanta.
#7 Florida plays #3 Marquette in Phoenix.

I'll go with Ohio U. as Cinderella.   I'm afraid she ain't gonna last long though.

Not at all.  Once we get to the second weekend, I want to see high level competitive basketball.  The upsets are great on Thursday and Friday of the first weekend but they rarely are able to carry that over to the second weekend and if they do get there, that usually leads to ugly basketball.  Give me upsets on Thursday and Friday and then give me good basketball after that.  I think VCU would have been competitive throughout, but I doubt Lehigh and NSU would have provided that.

A school from a big conference can be a Cinderella if they're not a team that gets to the tournament regularly.  That's what Cinderella was.  She was overlooked.  In the ACC, NC State gets overlooked by several other teams in the conference, heck, just in the state of North Carolina they get over looked.  A run by them could very well be called a Cinderella run, IMO.
