It's not about forgetting the past, it's about cheering for what's going on right now. You have no problem with doing that when  negative **** is happening.

I've been cheering, homeboy.  Jesus saves and all that.

Jesus, you really can't just cheer for a guy, can you?

He's a troll.

This game is pleasantly tedious...like San Diego.

I'm sure all the Kool-Aid dispensers will be in full force tommorow:

"See?  We told you!  The offense isn't that bad...look at all the hits and scoring!"

Ummm....it's the friggin PADRES dude.
We need to win tomorrow against crappy Will Ledezma and then we need to shock the world and beat on Webb/Haren/Owings over the weekend.

Takes more than one game against a crappy team to get me to wave a pennant.

Having favorites isn't the same thing as what I'm talking about. Choosing players over the team is something that children do.

Not what I'm doing.  You have to admit, this team hasn't given us much to run with.

Only Tony Clark can hit like that off the bench.

Cut him some slack....the old guy's a little senile.  Too much cialis probably...however blurred vision is indeed a sign of serious side effect.

Old ass Clark with an RBI double.  :-[

Of course the one time Manny lets a pitcher go the extra distance he repays them by giving up back to back doubles.

A 4 run lead doesn't seem very big right now...

Yeah, in the offseason. Soriano helped the team more than anyone when he was here.

It was decent. Good thing we were playing in SD but I'm sure him/Flores took that into account when coming up with the game plan.  His ERA is now 4.01.

Do keep in mind that going into this game that the Padres were 2-11 against Left-Handed SPs this season. Yes, 2 wins and 11 losses. Lannan should own their ass tomorrow.

Johnny Holliday calls a ground rule double a home run...
Clark doubled to left, Carlin scored.

Nationals
Padres

Odalis is done.  Anyone NAMED Odalis is automatically done, but he SHOULD be the winning pitcher, and he made it into the 7th inning.
