That last inning failure comes back to haunt us.

That was a managerial mistake. It should have been 2-0 after that inning at a minimum if he had Nook bunt the runners over.

Could that figure about Schneider's blocks be correct?

Let's hope that hitting Jenkins actually looks like a good "unintentional" strategic move.

Craig Counsell, he was the first batter in the Nationals' first ever Home game.

Mr Sutton, the REASON Schneider has a league-leading 42 blocks with a runner on 3rd base is because the Nationals are PUTTING MORE RUNNERS ON 3rd base than most teams!

Nationals 1
Brewers 1

Plus once they put them there they throw wild pitches.

I am flabbergasted. Two on with no outs is a bunt situation (and I hate sac bunts except under that circumstance).

Especially with this team, with the trouble this team has with hitting with RISP.  Manny has to know that the likelihood of the Nats getting a hit wasn't good.  That reality has to included in his decision.

I liked the idea but did not like the execution.

Guzman doesn't know how to take a walk. Never has, never will.

Yeah, but it doesn't take away from the work required. Sutton wasn't editorializing there. If a hockey goalie racks up a ton of saves it doesn't matter that his team is putting him in that situation. He is still doing the job. To me, it is less a commentary on the quality of Schneider's D (which is excellent) than it is on how much punishment he has taken. All the more reason to allow Flores to see more frequent action - helps the rookie out with development and cuts down on Brian's wear and tear.

I'm surprised Air Zimmerman hasn't jumped in bragging about RZ.

A two-out hit.

A Zimmerman special. But it does look like he is getting the engine revved.

It was bound to happen. Let's hope he can go on an extended streak.
