Lombo looks horrible, and Davey is afraid to make a move. Wooo!

Horrible is much too generous.

Anyone going tomorrow?

Yes, taking my next door neighbors who have never been to Nats Park, though the husband follows the team casually.  My parents will also meet us there, in 117 MM

Easy on Lombardozzi.  He's a youngin. Needs support, not hate

Kilmer played RB early in his career with SF right?

Kilmer was the last single-wing tailback. UCLA. The 49ers invented the shotgun just to use Kilmer's running ability.

Historical note: the single-wing had a tailback about three steps behind the center, a fullback one step closer and behind left or right guard, depending. Then a quarterback, who was a blocker, right behind the tackle on whichever side the fullback took. Plus a wingback one step back from the line and one step out from the end. Play started with a long snap to the tailback or, sometimes, the fullback.

Sammy Baugh was a tailback in his first seasons. I don't think the Redskins adopted the T-formation until about 1942. UCLA and Tenn. were about the last two major colleges to play the single wing.

Absolutely.  He's probably a nervous wreck, just needs to settle down and play his game.

I figured Bernadina was waiting for a steal signal, could be wrong though.

Cool.  We're getting there early to enjoy the security theater and batting practice.  Should be a fun time.

And this is some baseball game if we're discussing Billy Kilmer. By the way, there is a great You-tube of an NFL Films production called "Did you ever see Sonny play?" Well worth it. Sonny was the best QB after 1950, and nobody else is close. Watch for a TD pass to Larry Brown...LB makes a sudden move to the inside which Sonny anticipates and seems almost to reach 10 yards and hand the ball to Brown.

I haven't made final plans but I want to get there early too, to do a walking tour around the park.  Maybe they'd even want dinner in the Porch.

You just reminded me, I need to see about reserving some more tables for Minty's shindig next week.

OK, Lombo. Feel good as you trot to the dugout.

Now this should be the inning.

Thanks for pointing that out.  I haven't seen any Sonny in a real long time, would be great to revisit our iconic QB.

Time for Zimm or B.M. to end this now.
