The starting pitcher might wet himself.

Strasburg has a human night:  5 IP, 6H, 3ER, 2BB, 6Ks.  86 pitches, 54 strikes

Now Zimm's tied with Raines for 10th all time in GIDP (65).

For now, Guz.  It's not ideal, I know.  If Bernadina wasn't struggling so much, I'd put him there.  That's what makes it a little tricky.

That's the reason I'd left Maldonado down in AAA.

is that the team record?  Amazing given who he's had hitting in front of him. :-)

Jamie Burke is what, 38? He knows how to call a game.

Yes, that's the Expos/Nats record book.

Given OBP maybe we should try Willingham?

We did have Brad Wilkerson as our leadoff hitter for a while?

Willingham/Guzman/Zimmerman/Dunn?

I just wouldn't have risked changing anything with him, though.

Maybe temporarily, but he's got a lot more value in the middle of the lineup.

They would have called up Burke if he had been healthy earlier. I guess they don't want to risk DFA'ing Ivany, so it had to be Maldonado or sign on of the random DFA'd guys.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of a guy with no speed leading off (e.g Guzman), but it might be interesting to try once.

Guz isn't slow.  He just doesn't have blazing speed like Morgan.

Still PA 5, Spider 3. Can't wait for the bullpen, though.

JD likes the major league clubhouse, I guess.
