I like this thread better because it is cooler to look at and also tells me the time of the game.

For those going tonight: looks like pretty good weather per Capital Weather Gang - in the 70's, no rain ('A perfect evening for a game with mild temperatures, low humidity and light breezes.') - let's enjoy this now because we'll be missing it when the July/August dog days arrive!

---

This will be my first time seeing Atilano pitch - missed his two earlier home starts due to conflicts (Caps playoff on 23rd April, DC United on 5th May).

This will be the first start of his I will miss. I want to play my new video game before watching the game, and I should spend some time with my wife.

Is Riggs trying to burn Storen out too like he did with Clip? Jeez.

oh god not this crap again ... dude clippard isn't burned out.  did you see him last night?  maybe him sucking had to do with him not performing well recently (until last night).

and storen has thrown 21 pitches in the majors thus far, that's it.  he didn't throw tuesday either.  some people need to chill.

I agree. Burned out? I think Clippard hasn't been challenging batters. Seems like he threw his slider alot as well. Last night looked like him from a couple weeks ago.

Storen needs more innings, imo, to get used to pitching against better batters.

How many pitches did Storen throw last night in his 2/3's of an inning?  Tonight would be perfect to throw him in the 8th to set up Capps and give Clip a rest.  Let Burnett/Walker work the 7th.

Yeah, and then went strike out, strike out, pop out with a runner on third to end the game and lose by one.  Pretty miserable

Riggleman said that when he reduced Clippard's innings that he started pitching poorly, so he's going to fire up the engine again.

Spinman reported that Collin loves pitching 2 out of 3 games, keeps him busy. Not crazy to think that Clippard's mind works the same way.
