I can't believe that after another sweep and finally going over .500, we have to talk about Jim freakheadleman.

It sucks that after the game that seals us a sweep, which is also the game that brings us 1 above .500, is overshadowed by Riggleman resigning.

Now that I've had time to settle down, HELL YEA NATS. KEEP IT GOING.

I'm not settled.  I'm still in the F you Riggleman for spoiling what should be a fantastic day - Nats climbing over .500.

We were four of them.    A great ending.

Great pitching by Marquis.   A couple of big shots by the Nats caught by great plays in the outfield.   And an amazing ninth inning.

The food, though, was rated terrible by my family.  Review to follow in sep thread.

Did it look on TV, by the way,  that the foul tip in the ninth was dropped on purpose because the player knew Bixler could have tagged up and scored on the play?

Yup, I'm watching it now.  Not sure why, I know what happened (I was there) ... really nothing.

But I do want to see the ninth inning.

If you are talking about the Hairston foul pop-up that Kennedy missed, no AK was complete lost trying to catch it.

F. P. pointed out that Bixler did tag up, and would have tried to steal home, if Kennedy had caught the foul ball.  EdStroud is correct, Kennedy just was running in circles and dropped it.  But he was so deep that Bixler would have scored, if he did catch it.

I was listening to the radio at that point but it sounded like it was deep enough for Bixler to score. They mentioned that Ackley would've gotten to the ball easily but didn't attempt too.

Probably. It's a tough play for Kennedy because even if he catches it, he has to reorient himself and make a good throw home.

Yup.   I watched the game at home on re-broadcast.  Yeah, Kennedy lost the ball somehow.    Thanks.

Great dy at the ball park though, super win.

It was a great day to be at Nats Park and a thrilling and historic win.  I'm just glad I didn't find out about the Riggleman nonsense until more than 2 hours after the game.  Got to savor the win a little bit.

Same here...enjoyed the win at the ballpark, didn't find out about the blow-up till after I got home and got online...it was fun while it lasted.
