I wanted him in left.

true, but i don't know if davey wants to do that to him.  it's one thing getting only a couple starts in spring ... but to get a start out there in the beginning of the season ... tough decision.

I imagine that's his reason. But I'm not too confident with DeRosa out there either.

Wouldn't that be something.  I wonder if Werthless can hit 50 strikeouts by the end of April.

I either want these guys to go out there and light Pelfrey up for 25 runs or to strikeout 27 times in a row.  There can be no middle ground tonight.  Make it so.

I hope Pelfrey is ready to either throw a perfect game or get pounded like a $2 whore.

Anyone remember Ryan Drese's first start for us against the Angels in '05?  After the game, somebody (Sciosia maybe?) said he was "effectively wild" or something along those lines.

Jackson's impending first start for us made me think of that.

So this 80-90 pitch count crap Davey is talking about is just for the first start of the season, right?

I'm fully expecting them to light Jackson up for 4-5+ runs including multiple HRs.

It would be just peachy if that happened and we did strikeout 25 times.

Test for gameday newcomers:

One of these two is clowning, the other is not.  Which is which?

So I am checking in from rehearsal and I'll be following along on the GDT.  Keep posting scoring so I know what's going on!  I'm surrounded by Mets fans in here.

How many of you on here listen to more games via radio than you watch on TV?
