Jayson Werth is an elegant CF. Another benefit of going to the game, at least to a day game and sitting at the 300 or 400 level, is to sight the ball and Werth. He owns the OF...one of the best CF I've ever seen in person.

I think the best way to use him is as a CF. Increases his value, and he fields the position well.

Davey has had a quick hook lately. Not surprising really.

John Lannan does not look happy.

I'm not happy, either. Lannan has not even thrown 100 pitches ("the wimpy Milt Pappas limit").

Several young arms in the pen to evaluate maybe.

I'm usually "meh" on managers, but I don't like Davey.

Davey didn't want Lannan to "get the loss".

I never understood that crap. Lannan may have went 7. Now we have to hand the ball off to a bunch of crap.

Johnson has lost his mind.

just figuring that out?  the guy started Stairs and had him hitting cleanup the first series he managed.  he's insane.

No, Davey, no!

It's the rule of "old time baseball"...let the guy pitch as long as he's effective. Bally has just started throwing to batters, and you pull him for a lefty-lefty matchup?

Regardless of how you feel about wins and losses for pitchers, we're not making the playoffs this year. Who the freak gives a crap if Lannan gets an L? Almost everyone would rather see him pitch than this BS. I rarely go for the "manly" argument, but Lannan is a man - I don't think his feelings will be hurt if he records a loss.

Well, time to get to sanding and painting.  Hopefully we won't meltdown before I'm done.

He's managing like he's trying to win every game.

Who cares... it's in September and the Nats suck. Don't over manage so much.

Yes but it would be nice for Lanan to get to 10 wins for the first time.

I like when Gorzo drops down like that
