Ouch!!! I read Chad all through the '91 / SB 26 season. Succinct. Kornheiser was funny in a couple of hundred words ("The Bandwagon...") and Chad was funny in one sentence per NFL game. NFL...not baseball.

Many folks may not realize he used to write (for the Post?) in DC.

For the Post. Hilarious one-liners.

Sitting Stras was the worst decision since Mark Lerner signed Smiley to a six figure contract, at three am, in a bar, less than a day after his Daddy bought the team.

Can't be worse than a 60 year old man trying to shag flyballs in the OF.

Stephen Strasburg Has Been Shut Down and it looks like Rizzo writes a script for BoB and F P to read every game about how

Rizzo was correct?

I'm ok with 170 IP.... my problem is why did they start him in March?

He sould have gone to AAA or AA in april and come up when he was ready!

When he was ready?  He dominated all year.  It seems awfully presumptuous in hindsight to say they should have started him in the pen or in the minors or extended spring training or something when we didn't even know if this was a playoff team at the beginning of the season, much less the best team in baseball.  And what if he hit the wall like he did the past couple of starts in the NLCS?  We're making a lot of assumptions if we think he'd magically take us to the World Series if we had started him later or just keep pitching.  The Strasburg of the last 3 weeks he pitched isn't someone I'd want to throw out there with the World Series on the line.

It's been said before and I'll say it again - Stras was needed more in April when the offense was sluggish than he's needed right now.

He wouldn't have pitched against the Braves.

We'll have to wait to see how Lannan pitches for the rest of the season, then see how we do in the playoffs.

I would have pitched Lannan against the Braves. They don't hit him well.

Sitting Strasburg is the worst decision since Royal Navy Captain Carden decided that since his frigate, the Macedonian, was being shot to pieces at long range by the heavy guns of Stephen Decatur's USS United States, Macedonian should move in very close...where Decatur's ship had even heavier guns.

Sitting Strassburg is the worst decision since General Ross, just outside Baltimore, said "I don't care if it rains militia", about two minutes before a Maryland  militia rifleman put a bullet through his head.

Sitting Strasburg is the worst decision since General Packenham decided to attack Andrew Jackson's army behind a levee topped with guns and gunners from USS Louisiana and USS Carolina, a levee that sat behind a ten foot ditch that the British troops could not cross...and, who, therefore, had to stand for a half hour at about 50 yards from the American guns.

Ah...we have a winner!

Also, worst decision since Admiral Bloch persuaded Admiral Kimmel (CINCPAC) to

- schedule air raid drills and tell skippers in advance, and to

- set a weekly schedule for the fleet to enter Pearl Harbor (Friday evening) and to leaving (Monday morning) to make it more convenient for dredging (which also made it convenient for Japanese spies to know when ships would all be in port at once.
