There's a quote from Major League that fits this perfectly, if anyone feels like digging it up.

"Yesterday we won a game. If we win today that's two in a row. If we win tomorrow that's called a winning streak. It has happened before."

Holy cow, besides Kearns (.271) everyone else in our lineup is batting .292 and above!
And Kearns was batting .250 before tonight.

That is a good one, I was thinking this one:

"In case you have not noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the Nationals have managed to win a few ball games and are threatening to climb out of the cellar."

Everyone except Nick Johnson, Ronnie Belliard and John Lannan has made a hit tonight.

Well, that was another fun inning. Let's see what Hernandez, Willingham (?), and Guzman can do in the eighth.

Well, actually, the only thing I like about him is his amazingly bad wardrobe.
I like his tactless quotables.

Oh my god. I have been so busy watching the caps, I haven't even thought about checking on the nats. Last time I checked it was 4-0 in the 4th... I thought for sure we were in for a long day. I love to see our offense lighting it up!!!

Zimm is on a tear right now. Lannan with his first win of the year?

I didn't see Sportsfan in this thread, maybe we shouldn't let him post in gamethreads anymore if we win....

I'm starting to wonder what he would think of this idea

Same, so I decided to stick to watching a hell of a hockey game, I guess I've been missing a good Nats game. :P

Good game so far. Zimmerman's playing out of his mind.

He also has some fantastic hand gestures - in that video, my favorite is at about 0:26.

is he the one that always harps on people about their gameday records when they make them or am I thinking of someone else?

YES. Maybe sf is the bad luck token.

haha same here. I shouldn't say I would be "watching" it, just on gamecast. I was relegated to watching the caps on videofeed, so I couldn't afford to have gamecast up haha. Only 3 more days until im finally back home and can catch my first game of the year :)

He tried really, really hard to lose it for an inning there.

He went to the Caps game, maybe he should stay out of Nats GD threads. :P

I don't trust any lead given to our bullpen.

Chief, sportsfan probably won't be home before this game is over so he won't get to share his input in the game thread until much later. How about you lock the game thread immediately after the last recorded out to piss of sportsfan.
