There seem to be more than a few empty seats for this "sellout" at Yankees Stadium.

The woman he's with isn't helping either, announcing that such-and-such Twins reliever was "warming up in the dugout."

Singing "happy Thames are here again" to the tune of "happy times are here again" is kind of douchey to me.

Yankees radio is about as bad as it gets. And you can get the stupid signal hundreds of miles away :spaz:

Yeah, I tried tuning into NY's AM station for the first time last weekend, and was beyond shocked we could get it down here. Can't get the Nats past 123 on 66, and I can get a freaking NY station.

But anyway, listened to it then and tonight, what a joke. This is the Yankees, and that's the radio duo they put up? The woman, and while initially I was just unsettled having a woman do color commentary on an MLB broadcast, I have listened to it enough that isn't it. The woman is utterly clueless about baseball, and it badly shows. Of all the ridiculous big names the Yanks have had over the years, they couldn't get one player to do it? Instead have a woman who clearly knows very little about baseball, and screws up early and often? Just wow.

Anyway, good riddance to the Twins. Sorry, but they were clearly overmatched. Come ready to play or go home. Despite my dislike of the Yankees, the right team won.

I live here so all the local folks praise Sterling - though most hate Suzyn Waldmann.  IF you take the ancillary bullcrap out of Sterling's broadcasts, he actually calls a really good game; it's just all the crap that goes along with his homrun calls like:

"He sends a TEX message to deep right field....Oh, you're onthe MARK Texeira...."

"Robbie Cano.....DONCHAKNOW!"

"It's an AAAA-BOMB.....FROM AAAAAAA-ROD...."

The real problem is that old man Steinbrenner loved the shtick and asked Sterling to come up with homerun calls for everyone on the roster.  And if you think "Happy Thames Are Here Again..." is annoying, wait until you hear, "The Grandy-Man Can..."

If you get MLB at bat, you can listen to the Twins broadcast but the were boring.

ESPN radio at least had Miller on FM 94.3

:lmao: I kind of like that about Sterling. :-[ Not because it's "fun," but because I find it "awesomely bad."  It's like a train wreck you can't look away from.  "What stupid nickname will Sterling think up next?"

You missed this gem, too:

"Curtis Granderson hits it out!  THE GRANDY MAAAAN CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!  The Graaaaaaaaandy Maaaaaaaan caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!"

His official nickname as of tonight is Ron Jeremy.

Brooks Conrad is quite possibly the single worst baseball player I have ever seen on a playoff roster.

If the Braves lose, they should probably send Conrad to an undisclosed location.

Willie Harris thanks you.  Conrad, BTW, was the best PH in baseball this year.  He is Michael Jackson in the field.  Not so much because he wears a glove on one hand for no reason, but because he acts like he's on fire, in a literal sense.

It's Hobo Time!

That's how a second baseman fields a ball.  Brian Wilson giving off good vibrations.  Ron Jeremy gets stiffed by his bullpen.

20% off  MLB gear if you are a Boston, NY, or Chicago fan - I hate that commercial. Real fans live in DC, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh.
