Okay, this has gone from funny to just plain weird
Why the heck do you like the Lake Monsters?

I don't know really anything about them.  It's just a cool name for a team, and they created that logo with a MONSTER and a bat in his mouth, plus a MONSTER mascot.  I'm going to order some of their merchandise.  (Look at that visor.)  We ought to name our other teams the Werewolves and the Vampires.

I have so many hats, baseballs, mini-bats and other stuff like that signed by the players.  The games are so fun, they have a game almost every half-inning, like human bowling, bike races, etc.  And at the beginning of every game, Champ the mascot rides around the field in his four-wheeler squirting the opposing players.

And before every game, you can actually hang out in the dugout with the players, and have them sign autographs.  Damn, I wish the Nationals were like that  :)

the Vermont Lake Monsters ARE Nats-Related.

I wasnt referring to that, rather the numerous Redskins posts out of OT.

There were only 2 Redskins posts, which were part of 2 Nats posts.  They were really public service announcements, to benefit Washington area residents who are likely to turn off an 8-0 shellacking in the 2nd inning.  They might have been unaware of the last chance to see Ramsey, who was well-liked around here.

Nationals  2
Phillies 11
[/size]
Frank is making a good bid to get his upcoming forced retirement.  He lets the pitcher hit, so Soriano has nobody to hit in.  Then, after momentum has switched to the Nationals, Frank signals that he is forfeiting the game and returning to spring training.  He replaces the pitcher with a community baseball league wannabe, and puts the worst hitter in to replace Lopez.  This is why every team that hired Frank fired him mid-season or earlier.
Dear Santa - please send us a real manager... and some pitchers...and a Lake MONSTER mascot...

This game would have to be the most painful game of the year, side-by-side with the blowout against the LA Dodgers.

Mike O'Connor and Shawn Hill are also former Vermont Expos.  Somebody posted on here that autographs are more valuable later if only one player has signed something.  So if the next Ryan Zimmerman flows through there... Before the season, the Web site was asking for families to house the players, since it's a short season single A league.  They really can't lease a place.   I don't know if that would get you free tickets..

I WOULD like to hear how "HUMAN BOWLING" works!!!

NEWS ALERT: LAKE MONSTERS are winning 1-0.

A kid goes inside a huge plastic ball, and rolls it like a hampster to knock down huge pins.

I have a ball signed by Jason Bay and Michael Barrett, circa 2001 I believe.

Bay and Barrett were both Monsters, as well as Orlando Cabrera.

Hilarious!  They definitely ought to do that at RFK Stadium.
