as a sad matter of fact, i am beginning to think that we need some serious changes in coaching. Manager, pitching coach and hitting coach. I really believe that every team comes in with a much better plan than us. We dont know how to pitch to their hitters and everyone seems to know how to pitch to our hitters. Our pitchers seem to have no plan on how to get thru an inning. we are getting killed by their 8 and 9 hitters. I'M FED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Innings don't get any more disastrous than that one.  Several fielding blunders, pitching blunders, and throwing blunders all in one inning.  No runs should have scored at all. It should still be tied 2-2.

Someone needs to put some lard into King's salmon. A thinner King is an awful King.

St-Claire is one of the best pitching coaches in the majors, IMO. He's turned virtual nobody's into decent pitcher's (see Redding, Tim). That was a hard ball to field even for Zimm and just poor command for King. Acta handles himself fine, but Lenny Harris needs to go pronto.

He's just not that good.  No patience at all and overall he is very inconsistent.  Guzman is outhitting him by like 50 points this year.

Yep, that last inning sucked all life out of the team. They are done for the night.

I guess the last two years have just been a long fluke then. :?

I definitely remember him crapting the bed in the last few months of last season when the Mets were trying to win the division.  He was playing scared, even in the field.  Reyes is OK but there are other players that are much better.  I don't think Reyes is going to be a Super-star or Hall of Famer or anything.

Why didn't Manny use Saul to start the 6th inning?

He's 24. I think he'll be fine. His speed makes up for a lot of bad ABs.

The "I definitely remember him crapting the bed" comment cracked me up.

I really want Felipe gone. He has no baseball IQ.  2-0 count when you need baserunners and he's grounds into a DP on the very next pitch.  You just cannot do that in that situation.

You have got to take pitches there after Santana was all over the place.
