in other news I just traded Wily Mo Pena, Chad Cordero, Rob Mackowiak and some no name prospect for Matt Holliday and Ryan Speier in MLB 2k8.

I guess you don't update your rosters if Mackowiak was still on the team.

How is MLB 2K8?  I was thinking about going out and buying one of those baseball games, but I haven't really kept up with which are the best ones for the last couple years.  Any thoughts?

pathetic. We should traded crappy ass Perez weeks ago while his value was still perceived as high.

Crappiest ballpark I've ever seen, but I've gone to some classics there. Mike Cameron had 3 triples in one game I went to back in the day.

Yeah, horrible park, but it goes to show you how little the park actually correlates with how much entertainment you get out of the game (MEMO to Lerners!).

Haha. You're still complaining? You aren't used to this yet? You still expect them to win w/ these lineups? You don't anticipate this every game now? (I have more questions I could ask, but that's it for now )

I had Mackowiak in AAA along with Langerhans, Orr, Nieves, Broadway and Hanrahan.  I cut Lo Duca a while ago.  Estrada never saw a game in a Nats uniform (like in real life).  WMP had 18 homers but I was so fed up with him in reality I had to make a deal.

Lannan is a beast, Collin Balester is pretty good in the game.  They did a pretty good job with the ratings.  The uniforms are realistic.  The stadium is down to a T, except the left field wall is a little taller than it is in reality.

Solid game.

I'm sick of it quite honestly. Just because they suck doesn't mean I'm going to accept it.

If I play enough, I edit players as the season goes on. I've had to create a few as well. I still think The Show is the better game. I do try them all out every season, though.

As always, I'm starting to think a lot about Madden now that its release date is only about a month away.

The Show is the better game by miles. I have it for ps2 and traded in 2k8 for 360. I want a ps3 for the Show alone.

It doesn't matter because I just got NCAA early (releases tuesday) and have been having a blast with that. I've got Madden and Head Coach pre-ordered. I think I'll actually play Madden thisi year, but Head Coach will get 90% of my time.

The entire team blows. Manny should be embarrassed.

It's just sickening to me that piece of crap Backe is shutting us out at home.

It will be nice when we one day have MLB-ready players waiting at AAA rather than Canadian scrubs.

Martis is pitching for the World team right now against LaPorta on ESPN2 (2 outs in the 9th).

Edit: Walked him.

Thanks for the heads up, I am watching now.  I was wondering when he would get in there.

OT: Henry Rodriguez (A's prospect) hit 101 on the radar gun in the Futures Game.

This game has probably been one of the worst ones I have seen in a long time.  Very little entertainment, its like eating chicken without the bbq sauce.  Only we are probably more comparable to tofu than chicken.

I haven't really been watching, so I'm not feeling too bad. I've been flipping around to every game I can find.

Great play by Belliard, he has flair.  He screws up sometimes, but when he doesn't he sure makes it look pretty.

I don't think Manning should face Lee here. :?

Edit: Good call, Manny!
