I wish it would be the Nats, but it won't.  I'd like to think the Brewers if they can keep Fielder and get another pitcher or two.
Yeah, except they were in the playoffs two years ago.  I'd hope that'd rule them out.

So why is Baldelli in the Rays lineup? Do they have a bunch of injuries?

Lee and Price are looking very human, and neither team has a terrifying lineup.

Guerrero's 800 OPS is supposed to impress me, or maybe Bengie Molina or Cantu? I just thought they be a better hitting club.

There's some tasteless jokes to be made about how fun it is to hang with Washington. I'll leave it at that.

Best team average in the majors, 5th in runs, 6th in OBP. Not bad at all. I really like their lineup.

Vlad had a great year.

They will dink and dunk you to death. I want some meathead AL baseball, Twins and Yanks should deliver that.

carlos pena really screwed the rays in that first inning (whether the ump made the right call or not on that 2-1 count is a story for a different day).  no to pena next year.

Cliff Lee is awesome to watch. He is so effortless on the mound.

Also, maybe having the Rangers win the World Series will let him go where the money is? Maybe the Nats could get him that way.

Over/Under attendance today?

25 K.

Under.  If they go to a game at that time they may miss the early bird special at dinner.

I agree with Dibble.

They need to add a Morrison's cafe to the ball parks. Bring in the old folks and boost the ticket sales.

If he did, they should absolutely throw a big offer at him.  He'd be a holy terror in the NL and lefties are almost required to win the NL East.  Lee and Stras at the top of the rotation would be a lot of fun to watch.
