@JamesWagnerWPSince becoming the closer on May 22, Clippard has been unreal: 11 for 11 saves, 0 runs, 15 Ks, .028 avg & only one hit in 12 1/3 innings.
clippard is the closer. storen, late inning guy.
Three game lead on the Mets, maybe four on the Braves.
Jackson, Burnett and Clippard were awesome. Even Mike Gonzalez got a soft line drive that would have been a double play even if Desmond didn't catch it.Just enough hitting but I again saw enough hard hit balls go for outs that I'm not giving up on this team getting better on offense.
The Mets haven't lost yet but the Braves have.
Papplebon had a blown save win for the Phillies. Gave up two runs in the top of the 9th and then Thome bailed him out with a homer in the bottom half.
Random thought, but I just saw Fight Club so I finally understand your username.
If you saw the runner on first it could have been a triple play if there were no outs.
