That's fine if he is, it doesn't matter what I "believe" (you're the believer around here) but IF that's the case, it must be a pretty lousy crop of rookies.

Probably the worst in the NL since '02 when Jason Jennings won it.

.247 BA/.337 OBP/.338 SLG through his first 77 ABs.

yes, still early but right now Martis is the front runner despite having an ERA over 4.
Ugly line, but he could get hot.

I actually think Schafer is the frontrunner right at this instant.

omg, you didn't say that. He'll be in AA/AAA in another 2-3 weeks. Chipper said he wants him off the team.

.232 BA/.371 OBP/.358 SLG

Got off to a major fluke start which I called out when it was happening on here and since then has been terrible.

40 Ks in 95 ABs!!

That OBP represents better production than any of the "frontrunners."  I didn't say he wasn't in a huge tailspin.  You're probably right about him being on the verge of going down to the minors.

Like ronny said, this is a really bad crop.

Schafer draws a lot of walks but lately he's been just getting dominated.

In May: .154 BA/.267 OBP/.192 SLG (4 BBs to 15 Ks)

He's on pace for 223 Ks!!

The Braves are falling apart and Schafer certainly isn't helping their cause any.

Martis is pitching well.  JZ has the better shot to win it.  Just a flashier pitcher with much better stuff.  They both need to continue to get better.

Whoa!

Still, let's make it 13-8 over these next two series.

I was out but hammonds was giving me updates, this is a good win, lets keep it going.

Hammonds probably said it already but = 4-0 for gameday threads.
