Jesus Flores is DH?
« Topic Start: May 07, 2011, 04:21:12 PM »
Noticed that Flores has been DH the last few games. A hint that he still can't throw like a top-grade catcher?

Why bother with him then? It's bizarre.

Isn't it possible that they want to keep his bat in the lineup as much as possible while still giving the other two catchers on the team time behind the plate?

I hope so. Will have to check to see if he catches regularly.

Flores caught yesterday in a 2-hit shutout against Durham. That is, Flores got one of the two Syracuse hits, as Detwiler (I remember him!) took the loss. Only 4 - 0, but must have been a lot like Nats/Marlins Sunday.
