awesome. we are going to have our opening day starting lineup. Nook is one of my favorite players, we need his speed and his glove. Guzman too, I'm willing to give him a third chance. lol.

Why couldn't Shawn Hill get some run support?  They should be ASHAMED of this!

What's with all the shame nonsense? ... This is not a parent unleashing cursewords in front of their 4 year old ... I don't get what you're trying to say.

What is that suppose to mean? Do you think they actually like losing and sucking?

No but I don't think they're sufficiently embarrassed.  I have no doubt they don't like it but I don't think they feel shame.

I think shame is the more powerful motivator.

It is a shame that our pitchers have really done a pretty nice job lately (speigner notwithstanding) and the offense just can't manufacture anything ...

What are you talking about, didn't we manage to manufacture a run a couple innings ago?

Yeah, I don't get that at all ... you would think pride and competitiveness and professionalism would be all the motivation that you need.  Besides, it's not like they're dogging it out there - this is just not a potent lineup - for them to be ashamed of things they simply may not be capable of doing doesn't sound reasonable to me.

I think what PC is expressing is his frustration at how routinely the Nats just roll over like a submissive dog for any team they go up against (especially at the plate).

If Kearns had really wanted to take one for the team - he would have taken that high hard one off the coconut ... :)

I see ... well I guess I don't see it that way - but that's cool ... to each his own ...

Who was it that said - go ahead throw that bat at the ball - that's the only way you'll get a hit?? ... That was hilarious ... made me snort milk bubbles ...

I love Logan too ... he's an absolute human highlight reel in center field - though I have to say that Church has done a nice job out there ...

Ya, i would venture to say he's one of the top CF in the league (defensively).

I heard they are both suppose to be back

"Cristian Guzman, on the disabled list with a left hamstring strain, is scheduled to rejoin the Nationals in Milwaukee on Monday and start at shortstop that night....

Injury report: Center fielder Nook Logan, on the disabled list because of a left foot strain, will not rejoin the Nationals until they return to Washington next week. Logan did not start playing extended Spring Training games until Monday, and Acta said that Logan needs more at-bats.
According to Acta, Logan has been running the bases very well. He hit a triple on Monday and scored all the way from first on Guzman single on Tuesday. "

That's a nice play by Lee and the pitcher ... runners advance - MUST GET A RUN IN HERE NOW! Young to bat for Langerhans ... time for the bench to frickin do something ...
